Lionel Messi just signed a contract with Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and this was one of the best days in Raul's life. As a proud little Parisian, PSG is Raul's favorite team, and he is excited that his idol is now part of his home team.

Raul's dad works at PSG and he was able to get a ball signed by Lionel Messi. Raul couldn't believe it. Holding this new present, Raul begged his dad to tell him more stories about Lionel Messi.

For the tenth time, Raul's dad retold the story of Lionel Messi as a little boy that he made up:

"Lionel Messi is a little boy living in Argentina and his friends all call him Leo. He started playing soccer when he was just four years old. Leo's father Jorge was the coach of the local club, Grandol. And Leo had to help with cleaning the field and other small jobs.

One day, Leo's team had a game against a bigger team called Tres Cruces. Tres Cruces was much better than Grandoli, so they won easily. Leo was disappointed that his team lost, but he knew that they would try again next time, so he cheered them on.

When Grandoli had another game against Tres Cruces, Lionel was very excited. His team won this time, and he was very happy.

"Dad, I'm so glad that we won," said Leo.

"I'm glad too," said Jorge. "I couldn't have done it without you."

Leo loves playing soccer, so he practices his skills on the playground every day with his friends. One day, he gets an email from FC Barcelona inviting him to try out for their team. He leaves Argentina and trains with FC Barcelona before eventually being chosen for their first team.

Lionel Messi becomes one of the best players in the world and his fans love him!"

Thanked his dad for the story, Raul ran outside with the ball. He couldn't wait to show his friends. They were all envious of him and they couldn't believe that Raul got a ball signed by his idol.

They decided to play a game of soccer with the ball, but Raul couldn't kick very well because he was too distracted by his idol's signature on the ball!

His friends teased him about it, but they soon realized that they went a little far, because Raul kicked the ball too hard and broke a window in his house!

The next day, Lionel Messi came over for a visit. He asked what happened to the window and Raul told him that it was an accident. He apologized profusely for breaking the window, as well as for scratching the ball with Lionel's signature on it. Lionel told him not to worry, and it wasn't his fault.

Lionel Messi left after telling Raul that he could come to see him play sometime this season at Paris Saint-Germain F.C.'s stadium, Parc des Princes! He also left Raul with two tickets that would never expire!

The next day, Raul went to the game with his dad and was so excited to see his idol play soccer!

When they got there, they saw a giant banner of Lionel Messi's face on the side of the stadium! It was so cool!

Raul got to meet Lionel Messi again. He felt so lucky and couldn't wait to tell all his friends about the meeting! Raul told them all about the giant banner of Lionel Messi's face and the game he got to see.

Then, they started talking about soccer and Raul told them that he had learned a lot from watching Lionel Messi play. His friends were so happy for him, and they knew that he would be a really good player someday!
